After the second world war, the Belgian chess federation starting organising two tournaments each year: the FBÉ/BSB championship was open for foreigners, like Van Seters and Soultanbeieff, and the Belgian championship was only for Belgians. This time, the tournament became a neck-and-neck race between Devos and Soultanbeieff. After the latter stumbled against Korganoff in the fifth round, Devos had enough with a draw against his rival in the last round.

The games were played daily in Rue du Beau-Site, 28 in Brussels. Vaver had to forfeit two games due to illness. It’s not quite clear to me why Van Seters forfeited against Plavchitch. I found a few games in [1], one more in [3]. The full results are given in [2].
