Compared to the previous edition, the official team championship of the Dutch Chess Federation was a much more tense affair. The absolute favourite, Volmac Rotterdam, started the final round with a match point less than VAS and Watergraafsmeer. They won convincingly against VAS and Watergraafsmeer led a surprising defeat against VHS allowing the Rotterdam team to prolong their title after all. The winning team included Belgian international master Boey. Apparently, Rooze and Meulders played in Volmac Rotterdam’s second team in a lower division. Meulders was once called up for the first team, presumably as a replacement.

[1] gives extensive coverage, including full individual results. The crosstable above and the individual results were taken from it, as was one game played by Meulders in a lower division. The only game I have of Boey, his only defeat, comes from [2], which cites Schakend Nederland as its source. I have so far been unable to look at this original source.
