Championship of the Flanders, Kortrijk

1928

1 2 3 4 Tot
1 Frutsaert, Roger BEL 1 1 1 3
2 Haché BEL 0 1 1 2
3 Declercq BEL 0 0 1 1
4 Vandenheede BEL 0 0 0 0

This was not a Flemish championship in the modern sense, but rather a championship of East and west Flanders. This year, there were just two players from Kortrijk (Frutsaert and Vandenheede) and two from Ghent (Haché and Declercq).

All information I have comes from [1]. Apparently, the first round was played on March 25th in café Parnassus in Kortrijk. Possibly, some of the rounds were played in Ghent, but I don’t know that for sure.

Wanted

  • Almost all games.
  • First names for Haché, Declercq, and Vandenheede.
  • Where and when were the games played?
