With the exception of Koltanowski, all Belgian top players were present. O’Kelly won very convincingly, with a point and a half more than his closest competitors Dunkelblum and Soultanbeieff. With their results, Van Seters and Devos earned the title of master, which was soon afterwards awarded to them. The minor tournament was won by Tondriau from Doornik.

The tournament took place in the casino of Namur from September 3rd to September 11th, with the minor tournament starting on September 7th. The prizes were unusually high, thanks to sponsorship by Mr. Toussaint. In the Major tournament, they were: 1000 BEF, 800 BEF, 700 BEF, 600 BEF, 500 BEF, 400 BEF, and 300 BEF for each of the four remaining players. In the Minor tournament, they were 400 BEF, 300 BEF, 250 BEF, 200 BEF and 175 BEF for each of the two remaining players.

The crosstables, the organisational details above, and many games are given in [4]. Additional games come from [1]-[3].
