This seventh NATO championship, a tournament reserved for the military of countries in the NATO, was not one of the strongest editions. The Belgian team, despite missing its usual frontman Deleyn, took this opportunity to take shared first place in the countries classification, with Wantiez taking shared first place in the individual tournament. [1] gives all the games, which allowed for the reconstruction of the above crosstable. The classification for countries was deduced from that and seems to correspond perfectly with the official final standings.

[2] dedicates a small article to this tournament. Apparently, there were some brilliancy prizes (one per day?) of which Charles won one for his victory over Le Bourhis and one was won by Delforge for his victory over Hater. The same source mentions that there was a blitz tournament. It was apparently a knock-out format event. The final was won by Wantiez against Delforge with 2-1.
