[1] gives a v. before Patay’s name. This normally means either von or van, but other sources omit this. Possibly it’s the German von which could be a title, quite like Sir in England. The crosstable as well as the dates are given in [3], the games in [2]. This tournament saw the first of Colle’s three major international victories. The exact date were kindly sent to me by Mr. Jurgens, who quotes [4].
