[1] has the complete results and [2] has a bunch of organisational details. The tournament was held in het arsenaal. Van Welzenes was a rich Dutchman who sponsored this tournament, wherein four Dutch players met four Belgian players in a Scheveningen-style tournament. Belgium unsurprisingly lost the first edition, but only after a 3½-½ defeat in the last round. The 9½-6½ end result wasn’t too bad for the Belgium team, where Rooze did especially well. Still, the trophy for best individual result went to Böhm. I do not know how the teams were selected.
