Davie, Alexander Munroe SCO 0 0 1 ½ (1½)

According to De Standaard, Davie had to retire after four rounds. due to jaundice. I tried to add the titles, but have no contemporary sources for them. The games were taken from [1], the crosstable from Mark Week’s excellent site ([2]). The exact dates were taken from the tournament bulletin and sent to me by Mr. Jan Kersten [3], for I am very grateful. This was Boey’s second and final participation in the zonals.

A picture from the Anefo picture collection of the Nederlands Nationaal Archief, kindly brought to my attention by Mr. Philip Jurgens. Boey is on the left, Donner on the right, Bilek is looking on.
