Colle won his qualification group due to a better Berger score. This gave him the opportunity to play a short match against Alekhine, but here he was outclassed. The crosstables and the playing schedule come from Colle’s own coverage in [1]. The latter is never made explicit, but it seems like there were three days on which two games were played, or at least started. Apparently, there was also a blitz tournament which was won ex aequo by Colle and Alekhine, before Znosko-Borovsky, Baratz,  Thomas, Kahn, etc. The games are widely available. I took them from [2].

Wanted

  • Some confirmation of the playing schedule.
  • Reid’s first names.
