ST CÉ Brussels 8-7 Rest of Belgium
Tot 30-24

On the occasion of the CÉ Brussels’ 50th year, some festivities were organised. The most important was probably the five-round tournament, which was played in five classes over three weekends: April 20th, 21st, 22nd, 27th, and May 5th. The full results from the main section come from [1] while the results from the lower sections were found in [2]. The games I have come from [1], [2], and [4].

On April 28th, there was a match pitting the CÉ Brussels team against a selection of players form all over the country. Brussels won with 30-24, although the Rest of Belgium team was obviously not the strongest. I found the results from the first fifteen boards in [3].

Finally, on May 4th, there was also a simultaneous exhibition by dr. Euwe on forty boards. He scored +32,-4,=4, drawing against Paternotte, Lemaire, Roegges, and Van Meenen and losing against Rubinstein, Fromont, Warmenbol, and Rosenheim (cfr. [1]). I have included two games from this exhibition for the sake of completeness. They come from [1] and [3] respectively.
