Limbos left the tournament after a bereavement. Devos couldn’t get a prolongation of his military leave and had to forfeit his last three games. Barzin scored a somewhat surprising victory, but he did so in the absence of many of the country’s top players: Colle, Koltanowski, Soultanbeieff, Dunkelblum – all absent.

[1] gives all games except for the three that Limbos played. It also gives full results from which the crosstable above is reconstructed.

Wanted

  • First names for Feinstein, Vanacker, and Van Beneden.
  • Limbos’ games .
