According to [2], the idea was that the winner of section I was to play the winner of section II, but this plan failed because of the tie in section II. Instead, according to [3], a strange final round was played pitting Maróczy, Yates, and Seitz, the top three from section I, against Tartakower, Steiner, and Przepiórka, respectively.
