Belgium ended on the 19th place of 26 teams; a a serious step back from the 6th place they reached in Dubrovnik. The Belgian team started with a surprising victory over England, but then fell back. O’Kelly scored a mediocre 50% against titled players. Lemaire did reasonably well on board 3, but Franck and Gobert scored very little. Here are the detailed results.

A nice picture showing O’Kelly and Dunkelblum facing Alexander and Penrose, respectively. The picture comes from the Nederlands Nationaal Archief and was kindly pointed out to me by Mr. Philip Jurgens.
