The Anderlecht team appeared weakened at the start, having lost some of its top players like Timman and Winants, but nevertheless won very convincingly. Perhaps because they had not enrolled their second team, which freed up Grooten, Meulders, van Wely, etc. for Anderlecht I. Behind them, the differences between the teams were small. The reigning champion, CRÉ Bruxelles, also appeared without its stars (Andersson, Hodgson, etc.) but still took second place.

The crosstable above is based on relatively detailed coverage in [1]. However, [2] gives quite different provisional final standings.[2] is were I found the dates of the different rounds.
