This tournament was a sort of by-product of a training camp for juniors organised at the occasion of the 20 years of the Hamburg junior chess. It took place in the Sachswald sports school in Wentorf bei Hamburg, a small village close to Hamburg. Two days were reserved for non-chess side activities for the participants. As a consequence, there were two days on which two rounds were played — with different tempos! 40 moves in 2 hours in the morning and 50 moves in 2:30 in the afternoon. Jörg Schulz and Dieter Kosch were the tournament directors. On board one, Nikolić from Yugoslavia scored 8½. On the other boards, the best scores were for de Boer (The Netherlands) and Čvorović (Yugoslavia) with 7 on board 2, Johansson (Sweden) with 7 on board 3, and Vuković (Yugoslavia) with 7 on board 4.

[1] gives the crosstable, but I sadly know nothing more. I don’t even know who was playing in the Belgian team.
