At this time, the championships started on October 1st. I believe they lasted until the end of the next year. Unfinished games would then be adjudicated. Vandezande, an established over-the-board player, made hi first foray in correspondence chess. Immediately, he took shared first place, but Leroy won the title on tie-breaks. He got a bit lucky there, because his game against Cyffers was arbitrated as a win for him while the position was probably drawn.
Wanted
- About a quarter of the games.
