*: Grószpéter and Klinger won their respective groups after a play-off match.

There were a handful of top hundred players in the field, but the unknown Russian Chudinovskich had the tournament of his life and edged out Hort and Pétursson on tie-breaks. Dutreeuw scored his usual six points, but this time that included a victory against Gavrikov, then a top fifty player..The other Belgian participant, Frank, The crosstable above — including the strange series of three consecutive blacks for Bächler — as well as most of the games I have come from the tournament bulletin. Dutreeuw’s extremely long final round victory comes from [2].

Wanted

  • Most of the Belgians’ games.
  • The crosstables of the blitz tournament.
