This small international junior tournament took place on three days, from September 22nd to 24th, The first and third round started at 9:00, the second and fourth round at 14:30, and the fifth round at 12:30. The tempo was 40 moves in 2 hours, followed by 20 moves in an hour, and then 10 moves every half hour. The Langside Halls was the playing venue. I’m not sure how Jourdain, who had only finished seventh in the Belgian junior championship, got to play in this tournament.
