The Gouden Koning (Golden King) was a team tournament for the chess clubs of Ghent. Each team once hosted and one visited every other team. The matches were played on the host club’s usual club evening. The royal Ghent chess club won very convincingly with a round to spare. In second place, we see Ruy Lopez, which would later fuse with the royal Ghent chess club to form Belgium’s largest chess club.

[2] gives full results, except for the results of the adjourned games. These could be easily deduced from the final standings, which the same source also gives. I have only a few games, one of which comes from [1], the other from [2].

Here are the round-by-round results. The individual result below are given more or less in board order, but this was apparently not fixed, as De Meester played both before and after Janssen. Note that forfeits are not included.
