Centennial tournament, Ghent

25-10-1930 > 27-10-1930

1 2 3 4 BP MP
1 Antwerp 10 11 30½ 6
2 Brussels 5 22 3
3 Ghent 4 8 17½ 2
4 Liège 7 20 1

Here are the round-by-round results. At the occasion of Belgium’s 100th anniversary, the Ghent chess club organised a team tournament between teams from Belgium’s four main chess centres. Quite a few strong players were missing, but there were enough to make it interesting. The main star was Colle, but he had a disappointing run. In the end, the Antwerp team won, mainly thanks to its great homogeneity. [1] gives full results and the most of the games I have. Two more come from [3], one more from [2].
