One of the greatest results in Belgian chess history and the only world championship until 1999. The correspondence titles were still very rare, as the crosstable shows. This tournament was the first and, I believe, only world championship without preliminaries. Instead, for every zone a participant was appointed and some top players from previous championships were invited as well. [1] gives all the games and some information. [2] gives the start and end date.
