A good result for O’Kelly. The games are widely available (I took them from [2]), the crosstable comes from [1]. Utrechts Nieuwsblad 20/01/1953 gives the final standings from the women’s group:

1. Bussers 7½/9 2. Heemskerk 7 3. Bacic 6½ 4-5. Bruce Dew & Roodzant 6 6. Bouwman 3½ 7. Van der Veen 3 8. Kleyn 2½ 9. Van Aalst 2 10. Vels 1

I found a few games from the women’s section in [3]. De Waarheid 19/01/1953 gives partial results from the junior group: it was won by Heilemann with  6½/9, Belgian participant Somers ended 10th and last with 2½/9.

Wanted

  • Trott’s first name.
  • Crosstables for the women’s and junior groups.
