Just like in the FBE championship, O’Kelly could not keep his rivals off. A play-off match was organised but it, too, finished undecided. [1] gives all games, with the exception of the last-round game Boey-Vandezande, which apparently was a Ruy Lopez that Boey won after 37 moves. De Volksgazet sponsored a cup for the second brilliancy price, which went to Lemaire for his games against Tonoli. Unfortunately, I do not know who won the first brilliancy prize. The tournament was held in the Blankenberge casino.

Wanted

  • The game Boey-Vandezande.
